week 2 thing#5

love this!i could really see myself using mappr fo some of my personal travel photos and other pictures to give them some geographic context.i also see myself using the playing card, magazine cover and poster apps.lot's of ideas!something i'm definitely going to use to make classroom tools and have students use if i can get access.also digging the warholizer!

week2 thing #4

http://www.flickr.com/photos/8601342@N03/4016772481/in/pool-jalalspages-library just checking through the elements of flickr and found this cool pic of marbilized paper.when i first saw it as a small image i thought it was a picture of a group sky-dive.ha!i wonder how much this has been magnified and what is marbilized paper anyway?

week#1 thing#3

with tools such as you tube and google image search etc. i think copyright and fair use issues are somewhat blurred.it was very helpful to find the fair useage tab on google and see some videos on what flies and doesn't for you tube.one of my concerns with you tube is the loss of privacy.i'm not sure i want to see one of my many embarassing moments go viral because someone is carrying around a phone w/ video!ouch.seriously , what control do we have over the usage of our image.i think this is a future legal battleground waiting to happen.

week 1 thing #2

nancy , i think i've already done this.

week1 thing #1

blogging is somewhat of a mystery to me.i'm a little concerned about being too "out there" with information in this day and age.i'm not really sure what i have to add in this form of communication.i see some applicatios for the classroom and home communication but i'm concerned about monitoring middle schoolers on this.my other concern is that any home use of computers has become the 21st century "the dog ate my homework" excuse for students.i'll keep an open mind but don't see this as a big use tool for me.i hope to find a variety of tools to enhance student learning. i've used google apps, looking forward to dealing with voice streaming and movie maker.
